How to Optimize a Business Page on Facebook
Many of the changes with Facebook in recent years are to bridge the gap between companies and consumers so that Facebook can drive commerce, and ultimately take advertising market share from Google. To do that, they have been improving their search capabilities. Now that more consumers are utilizing Facebook to do searches, it’s absolutely key that your business is properly registered, the location pinpointed, and the business categorized accurately within Facebook.
Earlier this summer IFrame Apps announced Facebook’s New Page Layout, in this infographic they take a deeper visual look at what’s different. This infographic covers the 5 important changes, the new need to add tabs to your page, and insight on what the new layout could mean for the future of Facebook pages.
The profile image, cover image, call-to-action button, page tabs, and new post search have all changed. They’re trying to make the Facebook page closer to the usefulness of a website. That said, I would never rely on Facebook entirely since they own the audience and I don’t. However, I love creating strategies to drive those visitors to our Facebook page back to join our subscriber list or our MarTech community.
IFrame Apps encourages engagement through the use of Facebook Apps to drive more fans from Facebook into your conversion funnel, including a mini-site on a Facebook page tab, a coupons tab, a store tab, encouraging visitors to like your Facebook page, creating an automatic newsletter, adding a contact form on a tab, adding a link to your site, or enabling lead collection.
